Has any one done this? I know that it has been discussed on here.
Does anyone know the HP or torque for a 95 4.0. It is in a Grand Cherokee 2 wheel drive with auto trans.

motor is too tall, you would have to have a bulge in the hood. this is why the slant 6 is slanted....for hood clearance.

To each his own..

But frankly a 4.0 would be the last thing I would think about installing into anything that didnt have one in there in the first place. Too many other options for muscle era cars that are better, cheaper and more exciting. Those things are dead reliable, but they arent that great on gas.....so..

The only reason that I was thinking about it is that 4.0 with fuel injection seems to have a lot of power and torque.I have three jeeps with the 4.0 and I know that a dart would be a lot lighter

I might be more possible to simply *make* the fuel injection system work for a 225...maybe. I know I've read of some individuals using the old buick 3.8 batch fire systems working...and there might be for sequential mpfi too out there...

I mean, it's not EASY per se...or inexpensive in many cases...but if you've got the time and ingenuity, there ARE fuel injected slants out there....

Its EASIER/Cheaper to put a MPFI on a \6 then to make a 4.0L work in an abody.
