Does anyone have an original brochure for subject that
might tell me if the original carpet was plush or loop.

Perhaps the the plush (cut pile) was an option??

Was the red version solid or pepper??

Thanks in advance. Al Corda 612.963.4540 cell

The 62 Polara 500 convertible my Dad bought new had thick plush pile carpet. Solid red, no pepper. Same carpet was on the backs of the front seat backs and also at the back side of the seat bases. On ours, the carpet on the seat backs is still the original carpet.

And I do have an original 62 Polara 500-specific sales brochure which says the carpet is "luxuriously piled."

Also, just remembered the sides of the console are carpeted, too.
