Those are great pictures. I love seeing the inside workings of the engine. At the risk of getting seriously flamed,,,,I have to ask, why is that engine/head called a Hemi? Other than to promote the name on new Mopar vehicles? I don't see a hemispherical combustion chamber. Just spark plugs through the valves covers.

Al,I did not seen any tie bars on the lifters,do they have the key way lifters like Jesel?

Yes it uses the big Jesel Keyway lifters. What Josh said. Not old school at all they are pretty much the cutting edge of cylinder head developement. Well these were 4 years ago anyway

We do not run NEAR the RPM they are. I have heard from some guys in the know that they are now approaching 11000 rpm and a couple are over that. BUt I have no first hand knowledge. Ours we shift at 9400 go through the traps at 9700 or so.
As for maintenance it has not been to bad. Vaveltrain stability is a big deal with them and once that gets worked out it has been reasonable. We managed to get 12 passes out of the last set of intake springs. The exhausts are still hanging in there at 16.
