That's what happens when you park a male barracuda that close to a female barracuda. Should of had one of them fixed.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

I think a good 10.50 street strip bracket car for Steven to race. Sort of like my car, but a little faster. Good for Pro, Super pro, super street, open comp, does PSCA have a 10.50 index class?

James to answer your question the one I used simply bolted roight on the stock column.
As for the car. Since it is a numbers matching Formula S 383 4 Spd car I think we will not get to crazy or carried away. Although it already has some modifications that require some work to undo if it is to be restored someday. Thinking a Pro Touring kinda set up sounds fun though. Nothing to crazy.

Hmmmmmmmm, ya got two race cars and two drivers, and a third would be a lot more work. Maybe a nice 383 4 speed streeter? A/c would be nice for summer cruises! I can see it now, lowered, chrome 18 inch five spoke rims, 40 or 45 profile tires as wide as you can fit, four wheel discs, stereo , all else factory restored save exhaust and motor?

I would take that thing and put an all SRT8 running gear in it (motor, 6-spd, BREMBO brakes, interior, viper wheels) and go have some fun! That's cool, Al..... Wes

Al, build that 400 block into a 513 low deck, have some 10" - 12" wide steelies made for the back w/3.25/50x15 ET Streets & 7's for the front. Put the 383-S badges on the fiberglass hood. Build the 513 w/ ported Eddy or indy heads & dual plane intake, paint it all turquoise & stick the 383 air cleaner on it. Make a real sleeper that'll run mid 10's. Ernie built a 513 w/ mild hyd roller & non ported Eddy RPM's & dual plane that made 690 torque & big hp, too. Sure glad it went to a good home... here's a pic of a similar one I saw on C List. Side pipes are funky, but the American mags look cool.

those pipes look like AAR pipes..or an attempt to mimick them...? Dad installed a factory set of AAR exaust pipes/side exit on my moms sport fury suburban with the 440 back in 73 but i digress.
