As long as your wiring is decent there is no need to change anything. The Halogens actually pull less amps than the old bulbs. We upgraded a bunch and had no problems. The lights that take the capsule bulbs instead of sealed beams are rated 55/60.They do make bigger inserts but they would require upgrades to be safe.A lot here will also say to use relays for brighter lights. We didnt and have super bright lights.Mine have been in for 12 years my kids 14 years. My old 57 had them for 8 years and no problesm.Rocky

the 4002's are a GE number and the 5006 is the Sylvania replacement they all should be 35-37 watts and shouldn't require any changes. Phillips also made replacement headlights. i believe the Sylvania are halogen.

The voltage dosent change basically. When the lights are on say they have 13.5 volts. With either bulb they will have the same voltage. The amps is what is the big factor. The stock Halogens will pull less amps than the OE bulbs.Install the Halogens and go.Unless your system is totally trashed there is no problem.Rocky
