I have 2 340 blocks that were supposed to have been pulled from 1970 Cudas, on the pan rail both stampings start with 0R then the sequence number, should this be either 0B or 0E if they were from Cudas.
what would a 0R have been fitted to from factory?

0R = 1970 Windsor, ONT = most '70 Dart Swinger 340s & some '70 Duster 340s

...just like every '69 - '71 440 for sale was pulled from a Six Pack car!

All '70 340 engines were assembled at the engine plant in Windsor.

Can you share the specifics: cast date / partial VIN# 0Rxxxxxx / assembly date FW340 P xxxx xxxx?

Block 2, " " 5-28-69, " 0R166459, " " FW340P30160812
Any idea what was the average time for a 340, from engine assemble to car build date for Los Angeles?

Thanks, these two engines ended up in cars built within a couple days but were cast 54 days apart.

cast Wed 5/28/69 + 155 days assembled Thu 10/30/69 + 13 days scheduled car build Wed 11/12/69 0R166459
cast Fri 7/11/69 + 103 days assembled Wed 10/22/69 + 23 or 26 days scheduled car build Fri 11/14/69(Dart) or Monday 11/17/69(Duster) 0R168986

I'll see what I have for 1970 LA - what's your car's VIN# & SPD?
