mild street car. hoping for a fun ride. will be running in a few weeks.

383
.030
kb400 pistons
.484 mopar cam
stealth heads
torker 383 intake
fenderwell headers
auto with 2800 stall
4.88 gears just cause i got a deal and it will not be on highway ever, just around town
750 holley.

any similar builds? im hoping it sounds good with that cam.

Interesting mix of parts. How tall is the rear tire?

Fenderwell headers suck on street cars. Intake might be a bit restrictive and If it was mine it would have more converter.

Should be a fun ride though, enough to get ya into trouble

A-body I take it? Everything seems all right, I'd ditch the cam though.. unless you already bought it.

Thats close to the old 383 we had in my boys Dart. It was a stock bore and piston 383 that I used 452 heads on. I cut them for 9.5 comp and did a mild pocket port job myself. Had the .484 cam on a 104 centerline and stock rockers with Comp single springs. Use a 750 DP and had a Torker on it at first. It was a 727 with a manual valve body and a TA 3000 converter with 3.91's. It had CPPA chassis headers. Car ran 12.41 with theTorker intake but we put a Performer RPM intake on and ran a best of 12.31 @ 110. Car weighed 3560 with him in the car. It ran very good for what it was. Ron

I love the build! I however might tweak and go with a torker II intake. Those gears are going to give you plenty of get going at the stop light!

I'd stick a ptc 9.5" in there.

Me thinks that big block + 4.88s = fun no matter what the combo
