Finally, after going thru some hard times with family members and their health issues, I got out to the track last night. It was a long time coming and for only a handful of runs, I am not complaining. The first few times down the track were just to get back into the swing of things and then it was on. Funny thing is this; the only tuning done last night was air pressure in the M/T drag radials. Started at 22 psi and went from there. Ended up at 18 psi. Best time was 11.77 @ 115, 1.65 60'. Plan on going in a couple weeks to begin to play with the caltracs and qa1'a that are on there. Low 11's here I come!! Enjoy the pics.

Wow that is really a nice looking Coronet. My old eng went 11.40's @ 116 with just SS springs so once you get the caltracs working I see easy 11.40's for you and maybe more with tuning. How about some info on the combo if you dont mind ? Congrats on the new best and good luck with it. Ron

Dave the car looks awesome! How is was the track prep at GLD? I haven't been there yet this year, but everyone says it is really been good of late! The car continues to look awesome. Congrats on the great run!

Thanks to all who have replied. Here's the jist of it: 470, 10.8:1, Diamond pistons, Eagle crank, Manley rods, 4.10 dana with spool, 325 M/T drag radials, 950 annular quick fuel carb 84 jets squared, Bullet roller cam 573 in/out, eddy rpms with minor work (heehee), 727, 9 1/2" PTC thanks to John Cope(!!), full body car, all steel, heavy right foot on the accelerator...

My times were amazing for not running it over a year.... first run was an 12.2, final run was AMAZING. We are going back in two weeks... planning to work on everything else - carb, shocks (QA1s), tire pressure in front/back. Nice. When I put this together, a couple Mopar guys who live close said this is definitely a 11.2X car. I'll do a back flip if I hit that this year. What was really cool was there was a guy out there with a ss dodge who was running low 10's and he was VERRRRRY interested in my car, and gave us some guidance for future runs

The Grove has been VERY good.... when I was there, there were cars hitting low 9's... even on a Tuesday when it's not prepped so good as it is on a Thursday, which is their slicks night. Tuesday and Thursday are GOOD "Test and Tune" nights.

Thanks again to those who have replied!! Cheers!!

All the best,
Dave

Nice R/T!! Mine is actually a Coronet 440 car (was a 318 car initially) and just put the badges on the rear qtrs, front grille, as well as on the inside of the doors. I get a lot of compliments around town... especially since I painted it about 6 years ago now in my garage.

Cars are very similar.

Best I can remember:

470, 10:1, Diamond pistons, Eagle crank, Eagle H beams, 8.75 with Detroit Locker and 4.30 (broke my 3.91's so I went for more gear), Caltracs, 275x60x15 MT ET Streets, 850 Mighty Demon (KRAP), cam from Muscle Motors 585L 259 at .050, Bulldog heads (MM did some porting on these), 727 MVB from CRT, 9.5" PTC ~4000 & full body car, all steel like yours also.
