Depends on engine trans combo.

Depending on year and car, some combinations are hit and miss while other combo are near 100%

Front and rear. Or just rear?

From what I can tell all 69 383 and 440 cars got rear torque boxes minus maybe a facotry mistake. Don't know if that included front?

I don't no if any 69 340 automatics had torque boxes? All I've seen don't, but I'd like the observations of others on that.

All '69 Bcuda/'cudas.
2--440 automatics, rear only
2--383 4speeeds, rear only
2--340 4speeds, front and rear
1--340 automatic, none

I'm the CARETAKER of Weinstats '69 440 'cuda registry and have 104 of the 360 cars to date. 84 fastbacks/20 coupes. Always looking for new(REAL M-code) '69 440 'cudas to add to the registry so drop me a note if any are found or known. This isn't a publicly released registry. Thanks, Dave

It is truely hit or miss. Muy 69 383 4-speed GTS has front and rear though I have had a few without the fronts. My 6 340 4-speed cars all have rears only, convertibles got front and rear. As long as a performance A-Body has rears then you can pretty much be sure it is right.

Isn't it pretty uncommon for 68-69 340 automatics to get rears and/or fronts?

Yes it is, most automatic 2-door hardtops had no torque boxes.

My 340 GTS auto has no boxes. The 4 speed Swinger I looked at several years ago had front and rears.

My current one has front and rear. I can't remember if the other one had them in the front.
