frame rail replacement is not really for a novice
but it is not impossible for a novice to learn how.

you are getting in as deep as you can go..

do you have any welding experiance?
own a welder?
if not,get yourself a decient entry level machine
and start practicing before you go near a car.

your best fitting replacement metal will come from other donar cars
do you have the parts you need to replace?
if not, start hunting...
when you have a large area to replace like 2 rear rails
your best way to attack it is to replace what is bad
by what is called a clip.
you would keep the donar rails together as a unit and replace both rails at the same time.
the more parts you keep together from the factory
the more likely everything will line up when you put it back together.
also you will need to learn how to extract parts without
hacking them up.
you will also need a good spotweld drillbit
for that task.

good luck, you have a very large hill to climb!
keep asking questions on here will be your best help..

Measure, measure, and measure some more.

If you don't get the rails just right, you'll have issues with panel fit/alignment and dogtracking

I would either replace the whole clip or keep saving to have it done by someone with experience and a frame table.

If you havent done it before I advice to use only original parts from a donor car. Repro parts may always have some differences in dimensions, shape, etc. that can lead you in the wrong direction if you have never done it before.

Factory sheetmetal will drop into place...its a no brainer.

Measure a lot before you cut, make diagrams, etc. Common sense will tell you how to do it, its not hard to do. Just dont rush it.

Building a jig from sqare tubing, make it fixed into place on the ground so it never moves, brace a lot before you cut, measure taking reference points to the ground or to the jig, or to other points on the car, replace the complete rear clip if possible, not separate parts off a donor car, it's easy if you start out right.

Check my HEMI Charger restoration. Lots of pics there, I had to do the same on my car. Looks like a factory installation you cant tell anything has been replaced on my car!

Sorry Domingo but there's been a serious shortage of that lately...
