Does anyone reproduce or know where to find the partial horn ring (S79) for a '70 SE Challenger?

No one reproduces the partial horn ring. Your only bet is to find a used one. It's a neat option that really changes the look of an E-body interior.

Also, I've heard that if you can find just the horn ring, it will go on the standard E body 3 spoke wheel without any problems. It's not a special steering wheel, just a horn ring.

I'm waiting, but not sure how many would want this speciality item though. and yes it's only a little piece of metal that screws on to the back of a three spoke steering wheel. Does it actually function? (honk horn?)

Yes, the horn ring blows the horn. Uncommon for a $5.45 option.

Yes it functions and it doesn't just bolt to the rear of the spokes. Like most things Chrysler designed it's a very well engineered item. Here are a series of pictures showing how it is mounted and works. It will fit any wood grain or Black A93 Coupe wheel for E-bodys.

Finally a shot of the wheel with the spoke cover and horn cap in place. This is a wheel I did for M46rat for one of his many E-bodies.

The 1/2 horn rings look great on a Black non wood grain E-body steering wheel.

This one is still not sold and belongs to a friend of mine here in Montreal.
