The leaf springs on my Bee are starting to sag, and I wanted to do something about them whenever I rebuilt my front suspension.
Info on the car: I am adding new 1 in. torsion bars on the front end rebuild. The car has a 440 and a 5 spd. It will also be getting a Dana 60 when I put the springs in.
I want a comfortable ride and will never autocross the car. I do like to drag race it, but I haven't lightened the car. I just race on test and tune nights.
My question, should I buy new springs or have my old ones rearched at a suspension shop?

I have the same questions. I priced re-arching here in the Fort Worth area and it was almost the same price as buying new. I was looking at Mancini's. I'd like to go with factory replacements with an added 1 inch of lift on my Dart GTS. I still haven't decided what or where or when.

For the cost, it just didn't seem worth the trouble to rearch them. I went to springsnthings and ordered some new ones. After reading some of the responses, I thought that there could be some issues that I couldn't see with the springs (metal fatigue, cracks, rust between the leafs...)
Thanks to everyone for the advice!

I'm a happy springsnthings customer with my 72 Imperial. Height is about an inch higher than I think it might have been new - but top notch material in both springs, and u-bolts.
