64legacy OP member Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 49 Canada	I have a 64 727 with updated newer front assembly so as to accept the newer spline count convertors.Was rebuilt last year and a higher than stock stall was installed.Tranny also has the RVMB so there is no throttle pressure linkage.MY question is...when I'm cruising at 2000 rpm in drive and I go WOT, my tack jumps 1500 rpm. Is this normal?? Buddy told me my convertor maybe pooched.

Graham member G Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 37 Canada's West Coast	Forgot to mention, if the converter is "pooched" as your buddy says, there in all likelyhood will be indications of metal in the oil. Check it out. If the oil is not nice and pink, then you've got some issues that need to be looked after ASAP. If your converter is coming apart, it will lead to some serious transmission problems down the road. If the converter is bad, it usually means that a bearing or bearings have failed, or the sprag(one way clutch)has failed inside the unit. These extra pieces cause additional internal damage to the converter which will eventually lead to a total failure.

Tried to check with Mark who rebuilt it last year, but he's away for 2 weeks at the moment.Thanks for the reply's guys.
