OK, gang.....

For all of you CDF's out there (Certified Detail Freaks), I am going to start compiling a comprehensive list (as I did with carb solenoids) of original leaf spring assembly numbers for 66-74 model years, as stamped into the bottom leaf.

Let's rock and roll, and obviously we need only 100% correct data. No guessing!

I will start it off here:

3402345 71 318 Barracuda Convertible

3400045 71 340 Cuda Convertible

3400048 70 340+6 T/A & AAR

Let's do it!

Bill,

3400045 71 340 conv 3/31 SPD

3400045 71 383 conv 6/22 SPD

I'm 95% sure these were the original springs in both cars.

Bill, great idea. You should also compile the specific dates of the spring to coincide with SPD of specific cars.
I know I've seen a few early built 71' hemi ebodies with spring dates from 3rd quarter 70' model year which seemed a bit odd.

That seams odd to have the same part number on both sides - do they both have equal numbers of leafs ? And can someone confirm that #2835235 are correct?

If you don't mind, I would like to see if someone can clarify a leaf spring assembly for me. If we can, then we can add that assembly number to this thread.
I have an A66 Challenger with two 3400043 spring assemblies (6 leafs in the assembly). I am assuming that this is not a correct spring for an A66 car. If not, can someone tell me what springs the A66 cars got from the factory in 70?

thank you
