Messed mine up getting it out, won't fit right going back in. Is that important? How long could I go w/o it till I get another one and ......

who carries them? I don't have a dealer close by anymore. (thanks whoever)

going to say yes pretty important.
I just put my front end together, and found that they had backed out to the clip.
no idea why, or if driving would make it worse, but I wouldn't go anywhere without them.

I put regular c-clips in mine when the wires break. Just bring an old one to the hardware store and match up the diameter.

They are an 1 1/4 diameter. I just used a 1 1/4 retaining ring on mine.
