I have a 528 Hemi with the flexible milodon dipstick The dipstick touches the #1 tube on the tti headers not far from where it leaves the block. The instructions on the dipstick say it needs 1" minimum clearance from headers can't do that. I was thinking a short piece of header wrap. I have looked at alot of stuff in Jegs and Summit but most of the shields have temp limits that might be exceeded if touching the header. Whats the average temp of a header?

I have used these on my engines before...my 440 with the 2 1/8 Hookers....right now I have 4 of these on my 440 with HP manifolds and they sit right on the manifolds...Going on 10 years. Havent broken apart, become brittle or torn.

These might work better...slip right over the dipstick tube and the inside diameter might fit snugly over it

i dont think it matters what you put over it if its touching the pipe its going to melt.i had i similar prob and i just bent a stock tube to rest against the pipe then cut and used the flexable tube the rest of the way.
