I understand buisness very well, I run my own buisness but I do not charge the first customers $600 hr to cover my opening expenses, they get $60 Hr just like every other customer. he will not sell many at that price and then every one will say there is no market and they will be discontinued. If they sold them at $250 ea then he would sell TONS of them and do so in fast manner and they would sell lots of them for a LONG time.

Yes, the Manifolds are available. And, you guys cannot compare the price point of a manifold by a huge company like Edelbrock to a small business making a nitche market piece. Apple's to Oranges......:
I agree...I just think that if they were cheaper, or if there was a cheaper alternative single 4 barrel singe plane manifold for these engines they would sell like hot cakes...Thats just me...These are definitely a nice piece that I would pony up for

How big do you actually think the market is for a manifold like this? As Steff pointed out, this manifold is being produced by a small investmentor, not a multi million dollar corporation like Edelbrock or Dart Machinery. I would also say it's inline price wise with a lot of race manifolds out there. You're in business, would you wait 10 years for your investment to be paid back before you actually started to make money? This manifold isn't a Air Gap, so you can't expect it to be priced like one.

so what are the differences between your intake and others? what performance advantage and what price difference? any photo comparisons?

Multi-million dollar company has nothing to do with how cheap you can sell a product in a case like this, it's about the quantities. If a multi-million dollar company has the supplier make 10 manifolds, the supplier will charge a ton for the tooling to get their money back out of it. Making that tool will cost the same for Joe Schmoe as it will Edelbrock to put 10 slugs through a 25,000 dollar tool. The problem is, people want to get their ROI in a half a year, where it is better business practice to sell at a decent price and get it in 2-3y and sell a crapload of them at half the price or less. The gen3 is just breaking out, more and more people will use these engines to race. They will sell, especially if the price is right.

At $619 a pop, do you actually think they are going to get a ROI in 6 months? My point about a large company was that they can absorb these costs much easier than the little guy financing a project themselves. They also afford to sit on 50-100 or more manifolds at a time to keep the cost per part down. Even if the manifolds cost $100 ea plus R&D, at runs of 50 Manifolds, that is a sizable chunk of $$$ in this economy to sit on for a guy that has to work a day job to fund it all. I understand the point being made, but when you're the one putting your finances on the line to make it happen, I am sure you would look at it differently.
