I bought a duster with a 318. The motor is all new and it has alot of noise coming from the passenger side rockers. I took the intake off and the cam looks fine, no swiped lobes. A couple of the rockers I can rock them with my fingers a 1/4 inch or so. I can also push the rocker down pushing the lifter in without much effort. Do you think I have a bad lifter or maybe they havnt pumped up yet? The motor has only a few miles and a bunch of start ups. Thankyou

Rocker shaft on up-side down? Push rod not seated properly? Pull the lifters and soak them in oil for a while to prime them...

Rocker arm shaft is on right and seated good. Thanks I will take them out and soak them. How long should I soak them for?
