I'm looking for a set of short velocity stacks. 1 3/4" tall would be about max heigth. Does anyone know where I could find some like this or get some made. They are for a 4150 Holley. What 5 1/8" opening? I have been all over the net and can't find anything.

Check Ebay, there's currently 1087 items listed under velocity stack, I'm sure you can find something there

I have been there. Most start out at about 4 3/4 to 5" tall. Till I'd cut it down it will not fit the top of the carb. Have to keep looking.

Yes Kramer has them repoped. But $575 (IIRC). Not for what I'm doing.

If you want cheap it's time to get creative. Start looking for metal toy trumpets, cheap/used drum cymbals, big rig horn setups etc. Find something you can cut down and solder/braze a hold-down setup on it. If you want to use a screen don't forget they can be pretty restrictive so make sure it flutes out a bunch from the carb ID. If you take your time no one will see mickey-mouse rigged up junk, they will ask where do they get one like that!

Years ago I got some cheap spun aluminum ones. I was going to use them to make Dart hood scoops functional. They didn't have anything like a cross brace or anything to attatch. I was just going to glue them to the bottom of the hood. I think they called them air horns, or dual quad horns. For the life of me I can't remember where I got them, but I bet it was ebay. Maybe change your search terms and try again.
