Hello there, i think is time for me to send this, long waited custom set of headers, to the ceramic bath.
Any idea Where is the best service/price these days?
I Have dealt in the past with HPCOATINGS.cant find them...
what about JET HOT. Thanks for the help.

QC Coatings in Mich... its about $225 for coating
headers... great quality... I've been dealing with
them for some years now.... I have my headers done
in black this time but have my other headers done
in silver

Had mine done by Jet Hot here in Az. Not too happy with it. Coating discolored and came off at the bends on 4 & 6 ( obviously the hottest running ) comming out of the heads. All other pipes are holding up ok. Coating was applied last year.

I had a set coated at a place called Baxter Engineering in St. Augustine, FL about 15 years ago, very expensive, over $450 at the time but they still look like they were just done. You can't beat that stuff off with a hammer. They said is wasn't an ordinary ceramic coating but a formula and process used by NASA. Unfortunately they are no longer in business. Sorry I'm of no help but if I could find somebody using that stuff today I'd gladly pay the price as these things will probably still be good 50 years from now.

I agree no to jet hot. Had the same problems with a set I did. Haven't found a good spot, tried a local company same results. Heard alot of positive comments on oc coatings. But nitro plate is alot closer to you.

I have used both Nitroplate and QC. Nitroplate must have had a bad day when my hedders were there. It was a terrible job from start to finish. I won't bore you with the details, but suffice to say it sucked.

QC on the other hand rocked. Much, much better quality all the way around. Plus, they even re-boxed the hedders to get the return shipping cost down. And they did that on their own, no prodding from me.

Master, again and still
