I have a guy looking for a shroud for a 1968 Plymouth Sport Fury 383 4 barrel with A/C. I have a 1968 Polara 2 door hardtop with a 383 4 barrel with A/C. my shroud number is 2785435 in the Dodge and his original number in the Plymouth is 2785479. is it likely that Dodge and Plymouth use different part numbers? we both have the radiator part number 2898061. both cars have clutch fans. otherwise, does anyone know which shroud number would be correct? both?

Does his car have a larger diameter fan?

we did not measure our fans, but I was assuming since both car's had factory A/C with 383 4 barrels, we both had the 2863216 clutch fans. maybe that's the next question I will ask him. they should both have "white" inked stamped part numbers.

It should be a 2785435. I can't say I'ver ever seen a "79" shroud anywhere. Sounds like another case of "never say never" with Ma Mopar.
