I'd get the "original vendor" sending unit from Dixie Restoration Parts not a re-pop - http://www.dixierestorationparts.com/product.cfm?pi=3FF69CF9-E8FE-44B6-0709AEAFB0CF0BD1 I know you specified 5/16" line, but you can use the higher quality 3/8" made by the original vendor and reduce to 5/16" after the sending unit, or up grade to 3/8"
