Timing on a 440 #1222869

Is there any reason why someone would set the timing off of tdc number 2 cylinder. I hear a lot of old Chrysler mechanics do this. Thanks for any insite.

I'm old, I've have worked on and raced Mopar since 1964, never heard of that

#1 and #6 are the only cyls that make sense for that....
