My BB Edelbrocks came with long studs for the oil supply holes but none for the rest, does anyone know a part # for a stud that will fit. Ive looked at ARP catalog and they dont have "universal" use studs listed.

While we're talking about these ... how tight do they get screwed into the head and do they get lubed first?

Thanks,

I just screwed mine in finder tight like my main and head studs, the torqued them a tad tighter than a stock application. I lubed them normally. Weather that was correct or not, I do not know, but I know they havent fallen appart yet

finger tight is fine though the newer arp studs are broached for a hex key so i snug them a little more to help keep them from backing out when the nut is loosened. i lubricate pretty much all threaded fasteners.

i also use flanged nuts and hardened washers. i have a friend that owns an automotive machine shop so i have a good supply of used flanged nuts from the stock type rods he reconditions that have aftermarket bolts in them.

I have the stud kit from Hughes Engines on mine!!
12 point nuts with washers. I believe I spent about 4 years (or 3 nights)filing the hold-downs to get the rockers set up . I got their side shim kit also.
