hi all i am currently in the process in rebuilding my dodge challengers suspension. its a genuine rt 383 4 speed car with 50.000miles therefore everything is untounched and showing wear and tear. i am considering the pst kits. but not sure whether to stay rubber or go graphite stuff. there is also moog suspension parts no sure what to buy?? any suggestions? has anyone used the bilstein shocks offered by pst? are they too hard? not sure what shocks to buy bilsteins or koni's?
i am also chasing the date correct 4 barrel holley for my 383hp dec 69 engine? any help and guidence would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

If your not going for performance and you just want to drive it either rubber or poly bushings. Poly are much easier to install. If it were a 73 and later B body I would scream get poly but an E-body doesn't have an isolated K-Frame so either one is fine.

Moog can be had many places. I bought some at O-Reilly's but have even bout some Autozone Duralast parts with Moog tags in the bag with the ball joints. Check with the counter guy at a Carquest/Napa/O'Reilly's type store.

Before you settle on a PST Kit check prices for components locally and mail order including shipping & Tax. Often with mail order you will find that after taxes and shipping you could buy it locally and be ahead. Wise shoppers prosper.

Can't help you on the Bilstiens.

there is a parts wanted section here on moparts that may help you fond the carb you want.

Hope it helps

I got mine here, http://www.performancesuspension.com/pro...roducts_id=5918 , I went poly everywhere and got the complete rebuild kit. Use the supplied grease when assembling and you'll get no squeaks that some complain about. I even went poly in the LCA's and still no squeak. Im very happy so far. McCuay Norris Idler arm, energy suspension bushings, and BAW balljoints/tie rods. $290 for the kit, with 10% discount and free shipping it was $260 shipped. They come with sealed rubber boots, but you can also upgrade to poly which will come in a seperate bag. I left the sealed rubber on, and whenever they start to degrade I'll replace them with the poly boots I have stashed away. Very smooth install, and Im happy I went poly and dont ever have to worry about rubber degrading. Not a big $$$ kit, but I am very happy with it. I did end up replacing the idler arm with a moog piece because of some up and down movement in the bushing, but I think that was just a bad piece, and not a reflection of bad quality per se.

I put Bilsteins on my 70 Challenger and LOVE them.
Got them from Firmfeel. I replaced some Monroe's and my initial thoughts were that the Bilsteins were great but slightly harsh, could feel the cracks in the pavement for example.
But I think the old shocks were too soft and the handling suffered. Now the handling is awesome and I've gotten used to firmer ride and love it!!

Check out ESPO. Great prices and Made in USA.
Rebuilt two B body suspensions with their stuff.
