a friend of mine apparently has compression in his oil. Oil is coming out his oil tube. checked the head gaskets and they're fine. Also there isn't any visible oil coming out the exhausts. Any suggestions.....any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Bad ring seal? Valvecovers not vented properly?

The OP may be describing what makes sense to him. I've heard it referred to as "Blow-by". As the piston rings wear and compression/cylinder pressure leaks past the rings, it will pressurize the crankcase and anywhere the oil goes. Some people will notice oil vapor in the air cleaner if they have a breather from the valve cover. Some guys may see their dipsticks pop up out of their tubes. Blow by occurs even in fresh motors, but increases as the rings wear out.

Could be as simple as a plugged PCV valve

The typical setup has one valvecover vent to the atmosphere and one PCV valve vent. On a stock setup, the "atmosphere" vent would be inside the air cleaner housing.

In normal operation, the PCV vent sucks fumes and blow by into the intake manifold to be burned and the atmosphere vent lets fresh air in.

At high load or in cases of excessive blowby, the atmosphere vent acts as a second exit for the pressure so it doesn't blow out the dipstick or cause other problems.

First check, as several have mentioned, is to make sure both the atmosphere vent and PCV are installed and operational.

A pic of the setup would help.

We need more info!
Is the motor a high mileage one?
Does it run smooth? ( hole in a piston?)

Is it sitting on level ground?
