Can anyone tell me what original '65 valve covers for a 383 look like? I am particularly interested in the flanges and if they are smooth with no gasket tabs like the '66. A picture would be great! Thanks for any help. rbd

I have a pair of VC's from a '65 Polara 383 2bbl,no cutouts for gasket tabs, flange appears to be the same as newer types,I'll try to post a photo soon,Rod.

It's hard to see in the photos but there is a bead that runs around the perimeter of the gasket area.Hope this helps! Rod

Rod, thanks for posting the pictures, they help tremendously. Your pics confirm what I thought 65 VC's look like. Now that I'm sure my set is correct, I am going to send them to Advance Plating for chrome since AMD can't seem to get their act together. Again, thanks Rod.
