I just installed an Innovate LC-1 and Digital gauge in the 68`.
It is unreadable.
The numbers jump/change faster than you can read them.
Imagine the .010-second column of a digital stop-watch. Its that fast.
Looks like 11 to 15 swing.
Called Innovate and he said " at idle and cruise thats normal,it will only be accurate at full load and throttle. Take it to the track and see".
Ok,so i took it out and made a dragstrip run up a LONG steep road SAME issue . Numbers allover the map changing constantly every split second.
It is totally un-useable like this.
The 02 sensor is in the X-pipe.
What if I moved it further back?

Its not gonna matter much at all... chassis dyno's
stick it about a foot into the tail pipe but most
dont run 3 points after the decimal point.... my
LM-1 works fine and you can watch it... I still want
the recorder for it

Have you looked to see if there is a firmware upgrade for it?

My Lm-2 was unusable until I noticed the firmware version on Innovates site was newer then what mine was.

I flashed it and it works pretty good now. Not perfect, but it works.

I have the sensor in my 69 Bee street car installed in the X-pipe and it reads steady, at idle, cruse and under max power. The sensor on the race car is located in the collector pipe before the turn out. It also reads steady under all conditions, idle, driving in the pits and max load. I think you may have something else going on.

I HAD THE SAME ISSUE with lc-1, i pulled it did a fresh open air calibration and it solved the problem... i was also told, that if u have exhaust leaks upstream to the sensor it will cause it to jump like u described.

You can also adjust the sample rate if you want to read the numbers easier.

my friend had a LM-1 and he had to send it back 2 times to gewt it "fixed". i think the LM-1s are not the best choice and thier tech support is lacking. i have a wego3 and for the 430 bucks it comes with everything.
a data logger that goes to .1sec to 2 sec for about 7 min to 2 hours of recording.
it has a live display built in with out paying extra.
it has a spare 0 to 5vdc input for a extra input to watch.
and it is the size of a credit card.
they answered e mails on saturday and sunday when i asked scaling the 0 to 5vdc input.

he sold the lm-1 on ebay and got a wego3. no looking back at that big black brick.

good luck with the LM-1. i know they must work but i know some that had bad luck with them.

I have an LM-1 and the sensor is just behind the header in the pipe. I changed the seting to sample a little less frequently. My number are very readable.

Ok,thanks for the help.
Wired it direct to the battery and re-did the fresh air calibration.
May have slowed it alittle, but still way too fast.
Even tried it with the alternator unhooked to see if it was electric noise or something. Nope.
Once you shut off the engine it reads 12.3
So it works,just too sensitive.

So I ordered an adapter cable so I can use a laptop and slow down the responce time.
