I swapped in a new DANA 60 from DTS into my Challenger project. The rearend came with optional Ford Explorer disc brakes, which use cables completely different from the typical drum-brake style cables the factory rearend used. What to do? I found that Lokar Performance Products offers a set of high-tech parking cables made special for the Ford Explorer brakes. The problem is the way the cable hooks to the Foot Operated operated brake setup. Has any one else completed this swap? The way the cables are universal but appear to be more designed for a GM/Ford application.

Where is your mismatch ? Do both caliper cables go all the way to the front of the car ?

Tim is correct. I have no problem until I get up to the actual foot brake.

what's the problem it goes thru the hole in the firewall ? you need a thick washer on the under floor side that fits the cable and is bigger than the hole in the floor ???

Or am I missing something ?
