I'm just putting together a B1 MC and it will go to dyno once ready. KB block, 4.625" stroke, 4.5" bore, 14:1 CR 2.38/1.80 valve B1 MC's cam with around 290/300 degrees at .050 and 0.8" lift. Not completely satisfied with the rocker geometry (1.8 ratio paired T&D's), but there is not much I can do about it at this point. The heads aren't that great either, were about 20 cfm better than the best B1's measured on that bench. Intake is sheet metal, twin dominators and two sets of foggers. I hope it will make around 900 hp naturally aspirated, and will be happy for anything over that.

OK here is a bit of info for inquiing minds. 4.503 bore 4.125 stroke. KB low deck block, 55 MM cam tunnel with pushrod oiling, Callies Magnum crank. 15.7-1 compression ratio with a lightened CP piston CD is 1.233. Custom total seal rings. Rods are GRP 6.665 oal. Bob weght is 1906. Wescott oil pump.

B1MC heads ported by Mike Duke, oval intake port flow 457 exhaust 351. T&D 1.7 paired rockers, Manton pushrods, Isky EX rolls, Jesel Belt drive and front drive distributor. Cam is a Bullet 55mm piece with A 4/7 swap. Intake is a .510 lobe exhaust is a .500 lobe. Cam measures .853/.824 on the motor net lash is .014/.026. My guess is less than most people think. Duration is 282/299@.050 and .201/.211@.200, obn a 114.5 center. Springs are Manley Nexteks.

INtake is pout of the box B1 intake. Only thing done to it is port opening was mathced to the oval intake port opening. Carb is a Gary Williams blueprinted dominator.

Did I miss anything? Car has been dead nuts reliable and repeats like a xerox machine. It has been 8.0's at 2955 at 169.6 in good air with a. We have been 160 at 10.90 but try to keep it in the mid 150's to be repeatble. Convertor is an ATI 8" MRT piece that stalls at 6600, way tight for this motor but works great on the stop. 15x33 tire and a 4.10 gear. The car is a slug off the stop. Best 60' EVER is a 1.18. Typically low 1.20's. We have never really worked on the all out combo as I am throttle stop racer and that is what is important to us. There is more in the car, I think it will go 7.90's in great air if we had the right convertor and some more gear.

Hope this helps. I know some dont think the car makes good power but I think it does ok. LAst freshen up was at 223 passes, only reason it came apart was the LSM camshaft lost it's heat treart and was "peeling" off the outside layers and three lobes. We change the oil, Brad Penn 10w30 about every 40 passes. Valvesprings have been doing fine but get reaplced at 80 passes no matter how they check.

Al that is some serious grunt!
Computec weather computor program says the motor was putting 1140 hp TO THE TRACK on the 8.0 pass. At 7.90 it would be 1180.

In a serious build, I don't see why not.

Well Greg thanks for the words. There are certainly some doubters out there. Dyno numbers are only a tool, I prefer to see what happens with engines in cars. And ours is in no way fully tweaked for ET.I dont think I have ever really posted info on the engine other than bits and pieces.

FWIW when we run all out I shift at 8300. If you watch some of the youtube video you can see the tach and the horrible shift recovery it has, also how fast it picks up about 7500 or so. On the dyno with the old set up it made peak power at 7800, I suspect it is a bit more now just based on seat of the pants really.

Next time it will likely be a bit bigger. Maybe 555 or so. We will discuss that when the time comes. It works ok for a little 525

The dyno sheet on the original build said 1050. We made a piston, compression, ring pack and cam change to it on the freshen up and did not dyno it again. It did pick up a bit of MPH after we freshened it up.

That run was in about -300 feet of air, I usually dont worry about or quote numbers in those conditions as most guys never see that kind of air. And I certainly wont living in Vegas now, heck 3500 is a good day now. Also it was with a different convertor than we use now. It slipped to much for stop racing but is about .2 quicker all out. The current converter has been 8 teens at close to the same MPH in about 500' da. Up here on the hill in throttle stop mode we have been .30's in 4000ish air.

Now imagine what it would do with lets say a sheet metal intake two dominators, a three speed and a dry sump in a better chassisNow if I could only find that chassis

Yes, but it's an all out B1 build. 15-1 comp., big cam, max porting by someone that knows these heads intimatelty, and 500+ cubic inches with aluminum rods. Mine made 1034.
