Has anyone ever used late magnum 5.2/5.9 exhaust manifolds in an early B-body?I'm wondering if any specific manifolds will fit-Ram truck,Van,Dakota,or Jeep.I have a '65 Coronet with a mild LA 318,the stock manifolds look a bit restrictive!Any header ideas that fit are welcome too. Thanks,RT

I don't know how well the bolt onto a 318, but I run a set from a 2000 durango in my 65 coronet, but I am running the 5.9 mag out of the same as well.

clears everything just fine.

But the early ones like 94 range are supposed to be bigger. I think mine are the 2.25 and the early are 2.5 instead. but don't remember for sure. I just remember a post that the early ones are bigger.

92-93 only are larger.

Thanks guys,I know the magnums will bolt onto the 318 ok,fitting the chassis was my concern.Andrewh sounds like you have the answer,a '65 too!I will search some part numbers and interchange for fitment options.

From June 1999 Mopar Muscle Pg 77 "Dakota Secrets":

1992 and early 1993 factory Magnum cast iron exhaust manifolds are larger than later manifolds. The 1992 manifolds are 2 1/8" inside diameter, and the newer models are 1 7/8" inside diameter. The casting numbers for the 1992 exhaust manifolds are:

53006617(driver's side)
53006618(passenger's side).
