Nope...
Won't work..
I would suggest that you contact Julius @ Restorations by Julius 818.882.2825
He sells an electronic tach built by RedLine that goes rite into the 70 RR Ralley dash. And then you can connect directly to the MSD. Also its face has the correct color and fonts..

His website... www.rbyj.com
has more details..

Just my $0.02..

I'm using an MSD 6AL with a 70's stock distributor with my 67 Chargers stock tach. Has worked great for the last 10 years. Not sure why yours would be different? I run the tack off the plug on the MSD box instead of the coil.

Yep I have one for my vintage Sun tach. The adaptor is suspose to convert the square wave signal to ocilating wave signal. Or vica versa, can't remember which lol. But it works on Chrysler tachs.

I use the adaptor to run the factory tach in my '70 E with a 6 analog box. It wouldn't work without it. MSD offers at least two adaptors - on expensive and one not so expensive - the lower cost version is what worked in my case.

Hmmm.
In my 70RR, I tried running my MSD 6 with the Mopar electronic distributor and the OE tic/tach worked but was way off by about 40%. I swapped out the OE tach for one from Julius worked fine and is dead nuts on for calibration...

Just my $0.02..
