I am in the process of making a clone 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T. The Car came with a 318 cubic inch motor. I have put in a 440 cubic inch motor. My questions are. Does the fuel seperator take the place of the fuel filter? Also what do I use for the return line to the gas tank from the fuel seperator. Also does the gas tank from a small block have the correct inlet to accept the return line. Any pictures or diagrams would be greatly appreciated( or links to web sites).
Thanks, Kurt

yes, it is the filter on a RB motor

there is a 1/4" return line plumbed into the fuel system that is connected to a return fitting on the sending unit that is NOT on a 318 cars sender

Thanks, You answered all my questions except for two . Is the return line available aftermarket? Also what sending unit do I need to look for.

return line is avail thru most any sources that carry fuel line products , such as Fine Lines, Inline Tube, Classic Tube products.
I personnally prefer Finelines

The sending unit is also avail thru various sources, it will have a 3/8" supply line fitting and a 1/4" return line fitting.
I'll forwarn you there are at least 4 companies making sending units and the cheap ones are just that, cheap.
