I am posting this for a friend who is building a Replica of The Rod Shop's 1975 B/Altered Dodge Colt. Do any of you Moparts Members have any photos ( front, rear, driver's side & passenger's side )of this Dodge Colt ? This car had Red stripes on both quarter panels with a Blue " Bumble Bee " style of stripe around the rear with White stars. If available, please forward any photos of this car to my e-mail address as follows: pelhardt@sbcglobal.net

Thanks MOPARTS...

Thanks to everyone who responded. Does anyone have a rear view of the Colt. The rear view is the one that no one seems to have.

Thanks again...

Sounds like a great car to copy, but you might want to talk to the Owner of the "Rod Shop" before you use his name and font.

There are boocoos of stuff on Facebook. There is a Rod Shop group and Gil Kirk is a member and he is active on the site. Also moparts member, Ben Holt and his dad have built a beautiful new colt in the Rod Shop livery. Here is a pic.

My friend already spoke to Gil Kirk and received Mr. Kirk's approval to duplicate the Colt exactly as it was built. A request for photos of the rear of the car from Mr. Kirk have not yet materialized due to his busy schedule. The car is set to go to the body shop earlier than expected on 4/11/2012. My friend does not wish to push Mr, Kirk for photos, so we are trying to locate a photo of the rear of the car which is the only view that he does not have.

Earon Stewart lives in Columbus and is probably the #1 source for Rod Shop pics.

Hopefully Stewert Pomeroy will see this thread and offer some photos or leads. He has a lot of Don Carlton photos and history.

How can I help out ? If you contact me via PM, I can get your address and send you a disc of about 140 pictures of the various Colts.

When Pro Glass decided to do this project it was to bring back the glory days of Pro Stock. The car was done because the number one concern is and will always be the spectator and the drive. To try to do this project with a original car would not achieve this. We did not want to compromise the history but to preserve it. It had to be done safely. We hope the fans can understand this. We arte looking forward to seeing all of the fans at the Monster Mopar Weekend and the Mopar Nationals. In talking to Don Carlton Jr. he told me that his dad would like the car and he would be the first to want to drive it and that is good enough for our group.
Enjoy the car and remember the history.

Thanks Bob
