Is this bracket correct for 1969 roadrunner with A/C? I was looking at the assy drawings for this and it shows a bracket that looks like this but it also says "B-Body Similar". I have what are supposed to be correct length belts (measured them @ 60 inches)however they are to long for my setup. Everything is correct otherwise including compressor clutch. Do B-body cars use a different bracket that allows for more adjust travel?

Than what the heck does he have... I figured with the leg going back to the engine mount it was correct but obviously I was wrong...

if you look at the picture Bill posted the one he has is shorter than it should be . He could get away with using shorter belts . I think I have that bracket in a pile of A/C junk in the basement .

Hey John.. could you check it out for me? They are definitely two distinctly different pieces. I have the correct belts already and would like to use them... not to mention the right part. I am trying to get this rig spot on.

I have a bunch of A/C parts I've been collecting to put air back on my '70 383 Challenger R/T. Are the parts the same as shown ('70 vs. '69 )? Is there a difference 383 vs. 440?

69-71 are the same 383 uses a adapter bolted to the passenger head to relocate the bolt hole up to where a 440's taller deck would locate the hole.... So adapter & the rear alternator spacer is shorter to compensate for the thickness of the adapter... The compressor stabilizer tube brackets are different due to deck height also the A/C compressor rear mount is different to compensate for the deck height.. Stuff on the front of the engine is the same...

Every single piece of this is off of a 1969 charger 383 car so I had to find the 440 rear compressor brackets. Ft bracket is the same be it 383 or 440

Like mentioned,, all of it is the same EXCEPT the aforementioned adapter bracket that bolts to the pass side head. And the 3 rear brackets on the backside of the compressor are all unique to there respective application be it 383 versus 440

Keep in mind, the idler bracket spacer is unique to 1969 and later

in 1967 and 1968 the 2 tubes are equal length
