I just bought a pair of 325 50 R15 BFG G-Force T/A drag radials. I'm wanting to know if I should purchase a 10 in or 12 in rim. These are going on my Duster which is mini tubbed and already has tires on it that are wider than these.
Thank you,

I'd go with the 12s myself. less chance of the tread "ballooning" on you due to too much air pressure. the wider rim will allow the tire to sit flatter.
a 325 is nearly 13" wide. I think that'd be too much to try and squeeze onto a 10" rim.

Many guys on here are running that tire on a 10" rim.
That don't make it right...
I guess it doesn't matter than 10" is within the manufacturers recommended rim sizes either.

Thanks for the replies. I was kind of leaning towards the 12 in rim but wanted some more educated opinions.
Now I just need to figure out the backspacing that I'll be needing and get the rims ordered. Does anybody know of a good source for the tool that you use to figure out the correct backspacing or of a better/cheaper way of doing this?
Thanks,

When I get home today after work I'll take a tire off the car and measure the rim. I know that the tires that are on it now are 29 x 15.5 x 15's.

I measured the rims that are on the car now. They are 11 in wide with a 6 1/4 backspace. So if I go with a 10 in wide rim with the same backspacing will the tires still fit in the wheelwells the same or will I have to change the backspacing because of a less wide rim?
Thanks,

A 10" wide rim with the same backspacing should in theory put the tire a bit closer to your leaf springs.

I thought the backspacing represents the leaf side of the rim. So a 10" rim with 5" BS would have the remaining 5" towards the quarter panel. A 7" rim with 5" backspace would be the same on the leaf spring side, but only 2" towards the quarter panel.
