Hey guys, looking into changeing my Fury around a bit and I am considering doing an aftermarket A/C system. The car has had its A/C and heater core gutted, it is only there as a blower for the windshield but it is a factory A/C car so I have ducting. My biggest concern is really in mounting the compressor and getting a quality system.

What systems are you running, good and bad aboiut them and pictures would be very helpful mostly compressor, brackets and pulleys. Thanks here is the motor i will be bolting it to

Agree Bouchillon is good. Also Classic Auto Air. Classic can rebuild your original heat/AC in car unit... although it could be expensive if a lot of parts are missing. Either can supply also supply a new evaporator/heater unit.

I have a 69 RR A/C car that was missing every A/C component under the hood. Not a big deal. Call Bouchillon ask for Randy. Great guy and very helpful. The kit comes with everything and it works great. You will need an A/C shop to bubble crimp the hoses. I did have everthing inside the car. I even repaired my connections that came out of the firewall. When they removed the A/C from my car they cut the lines at the fire wall. I guess they did not own big wrenchs for the fittings.

There are some very good pics on Randy's website. Be careful with which brackets you buy. Read all the notes on Randy's site. You need the correct pulleys, water pump to make the alignment work. You can buy a new heater core from a place in Texas, I can't remember the name. If you need it I will look it up. Not sure if you can find a new evaporator. You might considered looking for a complete heater box setup. You can have an old heater core rebuild. There is a place near fort lauderdale that does them.

If you're not too picky about which a/c kit you buy, you can get a good deal. I got a steal of a deal on a new/complete under dash heat/ac kit made by nostalgic auto air. It's got ports on the sides I can hook hoses up to for windshield vents too.
