I ran the 2500 Street Master with a stock 383 and 3.23 rear gears. Engine would flash to 2,500 RPM off the line. Acted like a stock converter. Nice converter. Excellent service from Hughes Performance.

Same good experience as Junky. Mine is behind a very mild 440 and flashes 27-2800. My tranny is still full auto and it shifts like a stock converter.

I've had a couple of Hughes converters, mostly shelf stuff. All have worked well.

This car had a 10" 3500 converter. Ran pretty good, 1.43 60's, and 6.94 et.

Thanks guys - they are decently priced and I'm not trusting my old TCI.

I have the Hughes Street Master in my station wagon. Drives like a normal converter under light acceleration. Stomp on it and

I had a off the shelf 904 'Street Master' one and it worked fine for years. Outlived 2 904's behind 2 different engines.

At one point I did crack the snout (and broke the pump ears..prob because I was running a Cheeta manual RVB on the street ) and a local converter shop was able to fix it no problem.

I was asked to contribute money to help solve the civil unrest in Egypt, but I suspect it's some sort of pyramid scheme.

I have one they call the 10" 3000 stall. Flashes at 2800, could be my combo but I expected higher. Other than that, it seems to do the job, having nothing to compare it to.

I read someone else on here (in the race forum) mentioned they picked up 7 tenths by swapping out their Hughes converter for another, that it would slow any car down, but I don't know what the problem was with it.

Yeah, I saw that post too. But then you have other people, like a friend of mine that runs a '70 Chevelle in the low 9's, that won't run anything else but a Hughes. And I've seen other posts that claim Hughes are good converters. So...
