Can you replace lifters without replacing the cam, or will I take the chance of wiping a cam lobe?

As long as the lifters are new and spin free in the bores no problem.Rocky

Break the new lifters in just like you would with a new cam, 1500 + RPM for twenty minutes, use plenty of cam break in lube on the lifters and cam lobes
