Is it the P5 stuff? Maybe a PSO? ProStock Hemis? BAE???

If you were gonna build the baddest piece you could, what would it be and why

I think Go Green has the right idea. But I must admit after watching his car pick the front tires off the ground at 1000 FT in Vegas Iam somewhat smittin.

For me, its the pro stock Hemi's...Seems like if you were to raise the cubes up and put the heads on a +600 cube motor and brought the power band down into a more usable range, it would be the best of both worlds.

I think a guy on here has one on a billet block 650 at cubes running very low 7's or better normally aspirated...

For an all out motor, that is probably what I would run $$$$

The P5 I believe was the predecessor to the Hemi 99 design.

I have to say this is it!

http://goodwincompetition.com/hemi.htm

http://goodwincompetition.com/media/P500raceengine.htm

Especially since he has plans to develop a 5.3 and5.4 bore space engines with his "mopar" hemi heads.

If I had the extra change I would have gone for one of these for Diablo!

P.S. Next week I go to pick up our "new" engine for the truck. Its not Goodwins Billet Hemi but the last prototype with a cast 5 inch BS block and 5 inch prostock heads.

You ever watched top fuel cars? They are time bombs but how do you argue with 8000hp.

Top Fuel Hemi. There's no arguing with their performance. Nothings quicker, or louder.

.... if you would have added "two nitrous plates stacked under the carb" I would have thought it was one of your engines Billy!

The most "exotic" is the pro stock hemi99. The ulitmate street engine was the 426 hemi. The Ultimate engine period is the Top Fuel BAE Hemi.

So guess the all-around winner is: The Hemi!... huh, bet you did'nt know that...

Hard to argue with any reply that suggests the Hemi. But lets not overlook the Maxie. Truth is if you exclude the 68SS A bodies, they were the nastiest package EVER produced during the musclecar years-or beyond?

For sure, but the motor that put Chrysler on the map was the 392 Hemi. Most widely used motor in racing - for Chrysler. A true brutt of a motor right off the shelf!
