I found an interesting air cleaner in a yard today. It looks like a mid 60's standard air cleaner but it is chrome and doesn't have any "snorkles" on it. It is an original piece, or al least I think it is, as it has an original sticker on the side of it. I wasn't able to get a picture. It essentially looks the same as the one for my 68 Sport Satellite 383/2 car but, again, without the snorkled. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

That's it without the tin on top. I may have misspoke a bit. It is only the top and, unfortunately, some moron drilled some small holes in the side. Nothing that couldn't be welded closed. Too bad really cause it has nice chrome!

Those were stock on 1964 and 1965 426 Street Wedge cars (and trucks).

I know I'm in the wrong place but any idea on the value?

The decal was only used on the Plymouth ones.

There is a '67-68 one that looks almost the same but was not chrome from the factory. See below. You can easily tell them apart by the diamter of the center cone where the wing nut goes. And also the clearance dents for the a/c and wipers. I'm only telling you about it because some have been chromed by owners. As for value, they can be $400-500 for mint condition ones with perfect original chrome. Missing the base plate and having the holes hurts it. Here is a link to my air cleaner page where you can see the correct base for the 426 one. http://www.nicksgarage.com/aircleaner.htm#110

Here is the later one.

Thanks Nick! I'll be going back in the next couple days for some other things so I may try to pick it up. I'll send some pics when I get it. Thanks again!

Sure thing. You can make a base plate from a snorkel air cleaner by triming it. This also allows you to change from the small AFB throat to the bigger throat of an AVS or Holley.

Thanks again! I'll see if I can't find the rest of it but I'm not too hopeful. Kind of weird stuff there... I found one 68 B body bucket seat that looks to have come from a Charger. Guy couldn't remember why there was only one. I'll be bringing that home too. Thanks again!

Got the air cleaner top and seat today. The lid appears to be the car one and not the truck one. I would post pics but I don't know how...so if anyone can help with that I'll post some pics. Thanks again!

I have a mint one of those with short snorkels. What did it come on and what might it be worth?

When you write a post there is an option right above the "Continue" button that says "I want to preview my post and/or attach a file". Make sure the box is checked. Then hit the continue button. The next screen that comes up has a button that you click to attach a picture. You can only attach one picture per post so you may have to do it multiple times.

There are other ways to do it but this is the standard way.
