Either afb or avs. AVS was use in the emissions era & was calibrated accordingly but can be made to run but with everything being equal I would prefer an AFB or an edelbrock replacement for performance. live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth

Got a NOS thermoquad and sent it to Demonsizzler....WOW ! My car never ran so smooth..never loads up ..it just rips ! I gained 4mpg at the same time. I here that the AVS 800 edelbrock IS a better carb than the AFB but I would get a thermoquad for a street strip type Mopar if you could.

(I currently have the stock squarebore intake- looks like the secondary holes are just a tad bigger than the primaries) Will the AFB linkages bolt directly up to a TQ or will they have to be modified? -Chris

BUTTTTT there is no need to spend a ton of money on an expensive rebuilder. Just pick-up a BIG Chrysler service manual and you are good-to-go. As far as an intake choice ... your application ? .. an Eddy Streetmaster.
