We sent him a 72 340 carb, it took forever and when it came back it was so full of sand the throttle shaft would not move. No excuse for that. Was not cheap either, there is no place for him in my world. I never had a problem with TQs myself but got talked into sending one to "the Guru". It was for a I/Stock Mirada. We couldn't even use it... IT WAS FULL OF SAND

However, after about 20 years, it's leaking onto the intake manifold and needs rebuilding. I just checked out Harms website. $399 for a carb restoration seems a bit pricey, but I think I'll step up and pay the freight 'cause I know I don't want to deal with it.
