can anybody tell me if regular big block head will work on a 413 industral engine?
What do you mean if it will work? If you mean like the stock heavy duty industrial heads, NO way If you mean will it bolt on and work possiby, maybe not, maybe yes I don't know anyone who has tried that The early Mopar H.D. -3 motors, 318-3, 361-3 and 413-3, where designed to be used as heavy duty or industrail applictaions, the 318-3 crankshafts where desirable for SB racers as they had the same stroke as the 340 and they where stronger due to heat treating, probally the same thing on the 361 cranks and the 413 cranks, but I'm not sure, sorry I wouldn't bet money on being able to take a set of B-RB car heads, rocker gear and intake manifold and use them succesfully on that 413-3 short block The 413-3 had a big dish in the pistons, maybe 7.5 to 1 compression ratio, and the pistons where really heavy with thick tops designed to take a lot of heat Your call on proceeding

I had a 72 Class A Winnebago that had the ind 413. I could of changed the heads to normal heads with no problem. You will need to use the normal intake and waterpump amd houseing and oil pan It also had the normal crankshaft flange on it. .
I am truckless..
