Silly question perhaps. I have new chrome tail-light grilles (Mike@BEA) for my 71 Barracuda. I've removed the nuts and washers, but the light housings and grilles wont budge. I don't want to break them. I read somewhere that you seal them together with black silicone. Any thoughts would be helpful.

originally there is no silicone, just a couple gaskets.at least on my -70,but i understand why someone would use silicone to stop the leaking through bent tail-light grilles.also,i think the washers should be on the nuts if your looking for oem.
