After installing a 360 where a 318 once resided the 904 now shifts way too early and sometimes even seems lost as to where it is. The 360 is more than twice the HP and torque of the old 318. Is there anyting I can adjust to imrpove the shift pattern? If so how?

What intake , what did you do about the 2bbl Throttle linkage , did you reuse it as is?

The last stupid question , what modifications did you do to the transmission ?

This is a 5.9 Magnum so the intake is an AirGap. I did reuse the 2V carb adapter but I modified the kickdown rod linkage so it would reach the carb in a similar fashion as before. There were no mods made to the transmission because my plan is to swap it out for an OD unit later this year.

lengthen the kickdown rod assy a bit at a time & see if you like the result (so at idle the trans lever is further rearward)

What type of carb? If aftermarket, does it have the correct Mopar throttle lever extension?

It is an AFB. I'll get a picture as soon as I can.

That's the ticket. I was not moving it enough the right way so then I went the wrong way. Moving it a little more aggressively in the right direction is bringing it in. Thanks
