I am sure this will be a no brainer for you guys. My 440 had 2 breathers on it until tonight. I have seen many threads saying the engine would be happier with a pcv.

On the driver's side I have a breather and on the passenger side I installed the pcv and ran the line to the carb.

I didn't start the car yet because I wasn't gonna take it out and wanted to ask what to expect. Will the idle or timing be different? I am thinking timing won't be affected at all, right? Or will it start right up and run same as usual?

All you are doing is vetalating the crank case. It should have no impact on the tune.

I have mechanical Aptitude.
I can screw up anything.

The PCV valve is a metered vacuum leak.

It will affect your mixture, you will probably need to tweak the idle mixture screw a bit. It might affect idle speed a bit, but it should start up ok.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

That's along the line I was thinking. That center vacuum inlet on the carb had been plugged and now it will be drawing from the pcv valve so it stands to reason that something is gonna change.

Yep, just readjust!
Unless you went in and made changes, almost every carb is designed for a PCV to be under it, so they tend to be a bit richer if you don't.
The breather on the other side is now going to be filtering the air going in, so expect it to be dirtier on the outside now.
