Which brand would you recommend ? (McLeod, Ram, Centerforce, or ?)

Hemi A-Body, 4:10 gear - street car so no dual disk needed.

Ran Hayes "Gold" B/B pressure plate's before but have arthritis starting in both knees so looking for a little relief.

Thanks,

Shawn

I'm not a fan of diaphram clutch discs, so I can't recommend one that would fill the need behind a HEMI A body....have you considered a hyd. clutch set up?....easy on the leg, and you can run upwards of a 2800 lb BorgBeck, or B/B Long style 3 finger...that's what I've done on my rides

Wouldn't a dual disc require less pedal effort for the same amount of grip? Tim

For your situation the Centerforce is probably the one, it uses a diaphragm so less pedal effort but the centrifugal weights lock up with rpm.

I run the CF dual friction in my 440.Been in at least 12 years and no problems.I usually shift at 6500.Never a problem and easy pedal.Plus they grab good.Rocky

The words Hemi "A" body and street car don't generally go together. That said, I'll assume that as a street car you're using some sort of street tires that don't give the sort of grip that racing slicks would. I mention this because as we all know in order for a car to move from a standstill something has to slip. Tires, torque converter for autos or the clutch with manuals. On a hard launch it's easier to control clutch slippage, but tire slippage is lot easier on the wallet and your back [ I really don't much care for changing clutches ]. If you wish to go with a diaphragm clutch two that I know work well are McLeod and Sachs. I've never used a Centerforce, but most people that have seem to like them.
