What do I have to do to my 71 challenger 318/904 driveshaft to make it work on my 340/727 swap. I have a 489 8 3/4 rear end now. The original rear was a 741 case. Thanks in advance again!

If the u-joints in the 727 slip yoke are the same as the u-joints in the driveshaft you will just have to shorten the driveshaft four inches. If the u-joints in the slip yoke and rear end yoke are different you'll also have to use conversion u-joints.

I have a nice used one from a 73 Challenger that had a 340/727 trans, has the small u joints though. If you need a length: center of u joint cap to center of u joint cap is 45 3/4 inches. Weld to weld is 42 1/4 inches. Let me know, John.
