I have a 1971 duster that has steel kick panels. Were these used on early models? My Demon has plastic ones.

Can you send pics? I have had two 71 dusters both had plastic. I currently have a 71 Demon and a 70 duster both have plastic.

I have had over 300 A-Bodies and have never seen steel kick panels!

I will post pictures tomarrow. The panels are black and have the same grain pattern as the dash pad.

Here is another picture. The panels have a grain pattern, not a texture or wrinkle paint. they look original.

My brother had a pink 1970 FM3 Duster with metal kick panels a couple of years ago. It had a white and black bucket seat interior, 318 with three speed on the floor.

I've never seen metal kick panels either. I've had first had experience with:
67 valiant (2)
68 B'cuda
69 dart
71 duster
71 swingers (2)

All had plastic kick panels

In parting out several A-body cars years ago, I've never ran across metal kick panels. But those sure do look like very well made metal kick panels. They don't look homemade. I wonder if they were used for a while when the plastic ones were out of stock???? On the assembly line?? Is there any part number on them?
